Rachel Emma is an up-coming portrait photographer that chooses to mainly work in a studio setting to create a relationship with her model. Her work steamed from her love of candid family photographs that have been taken over many years of family gatherings, parties, weddings and other celebrations.
In her first year of a Photography BA degree at Coventry University, Rachel Emma is challenging, what she thinks, are dated views and teaching the audience about acceptance while being taught through her choice of model. She generally incorporates text with her images in order to tell a deeper story and create an aesthetic quite unique to her work.
Rachel Emma generally uses a DSLR camera but occasionally uses a Chinon Analogue camera to play about in the Darkroom. The aim goal is to be able to financially support herself through commissions while freelancing on the side.
